If you want to start running you should start with “baby
steps”.
Do it slowly. You don’t have to start by running for an
hour and if you try to start big, with too many kilometers, you might lose
interest if you can’t reach it. Star by running in increments of 10 minutes,
followed by a three-minute rest so you can catch your breath while your pulse
rate is high.
After that you should find the right pace for you. You’re
more likely to stop if you started too fast. Don’t expect to keep up with everyone
as a beginner. A heart rate monitor can show when you need to pick up the pace.
